Dang it.

This is just a quick update to let you know that insurance denied the PET scan twice, AND my back and leg have been hurting a lot. 

While I heard nothing from my oncologist or his NP, my neuro-oncologist responded immediately and scheduled a repeat MRI despite not being in town. She also scheduled for me to meet with her colleague Dr. Pan. (His name is Peter Pan, for real!)

Dr. Pan ordered an additional image that looks at the density of the cells, which was helpful to identify that not only did my tumor grow (again) but also has dense cells indicating that it is much more likely that it is indeed tumor and not just inflammation.

A PET scan would be helpful, but ... ya know. oh well.

So, bummer.

It looks like I will go back on the oral chemo. 

Sigh.

I'll post something more cheerful next time.
