Fall Fun 2024
| Marion & Deane's Nuptials |
Hello again. Happy Holidays!
It has been a lovely Fall this year. School got off to a good start and Chris enjoyed coaching again.
In September, I unofficially-officiated* Marion and Deane's wedding in Virginia. It was a beautiful event. I took off the day before which gave me time to go with Kelly for a lesson in fake lashes at Sephora. I also learned that my now-blonde eyebrows could use some help. My hair has stopped falling out and is coming back blonde! Always something!
I did go to Richmond with Regina to visit the Niblings. Max and Robin are just the most delightful! Max wanted to make fondant, so I dusted off my cake-baking skills and we made a massive mess-- and also a pretty amazing minion cake!

My plans to make it to Bangor were interrupted by CVD coming down with bronchitis. We rescheduled for a theatre trip in February in NYC. I am super excited to enjoy some shows and long-overdue connection over delicious vegan meals!
Chris and I celebrated our 8th anniversary with an NYC weekend as well! We saw Our Town with a star-studded cast including Jim Parsons and Katie Holms! We followed that with a delicious dinner of nibbles and drinks, capping off the night with an early showing at the Comedy Cellar.

For Halloween, I was Joy from Inside Out. I even dyed my hair with a can of sprayable blue hair dye.

Chris' Dad and Janet came to NY from France like last year and we hosted them for Thanksgiving. It was a very quiet few days of cooking and eating. Our friend and colleague Amanda EK came to join us on Thanksgiving with her dog Indy-- who go along very well with Tassie.
We spent Chris' birthday weekend up north with his mom. We explored some craft festivals, and an event with 150 decorated Christmas trees!
Now, we are getting ready for the last week of school and a trip to VA for the Holidays.
I just finished chemo-- there is not a whole lot of news. I had a scan a while ago which was initially interpreted as concerning, but ultimately was fine. My pocket of fluid never actually went away, so I have a lump on my lower back that is more about vanity than anything else. I've been struggling with a variety of GI issues and have some new meds for that; and, of course, the fatigue is always my biggest battle. I am hopeful that we will be sorted for the holidays!
xo,
A
*Virginia is not for celebrants from out of town, so a friend signed the certificate while I did the ceremony.
P.S. oops I did it again! I wrote this and failed to hit publish... so just assume you saw this mid-december...
